HOLIDAY COTTAGE TO LET
We have some dates available for our holiday cottage in the Vale of Llangollen, North Wales. This three bedroomed cottage stands in over half an acre of grounds and the lovely gardens are a particular feature.
There are stunning views of the surrounding countryside from every
window. You can see Wynnstay park, the vale of Llangollen and the distant Shropshire hills.
The cottage was a "ty unnos" (house in one night!) and the present construction dates from around 1800 and retains many original features. On the ground floor it has a large lounge with Inglenook fireplace, a dining room, a modern dining kitchen, utility room and a shower /WC. On the first floor there's three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The cottage is gas centrally heated and there's an unlimited supply of split logs. Within the gardens, theres a large summerhouse and ample parking space.
Located 10 minutes from the Eisteddfod town of Llangollen and 15 minutes from the market town of Wrexham. The city of Chester is 20 minutes away and the superb north Wales coast and Snowdonia are less than an hours drive. Locally you can walk over Thomas Telford's masterpiece - the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, go white water rafting or canoeing on the River Dee, visit Plas Newydd - home of the famous Ladies of Llangollen, travel by steam train into the Berwyn mountains, visit the Panorama, Horseshoe Pass, Crow Castle, the Horseshoe Falls, World's End or spend a day at Erddig Hall or Chirk Castle. Alternatively you can just watch the world go by as you travel on a horse drawn narrow boat on the Llangollen canal! If you like walking - you'll simply be spoilt for choice!
